How do I get my DiscreetDuo™ Wearable Pump for free?
The DiscreetDuo™ is free for most moms thru their insurance. Visit our insurance locator and enter your state and insurance provider to get started.
How do I recharge the DiscreetDuo™ Wearable Pump?
Connect the DiscreetDuo™ Wearable Pump hubs to the included charging cords and plug into a charging brick or USB charging port. The battery symbol on the LED screen will light up to show it is recharging.
Do I need to wear a pumping bra or nursing bra to pump hands-free using the DiscreetDuo™?
No, you do not need to wear a different or special bra such as a pumping or nursing bra. You can simply slip the DiscreetDuo™ Wearable Pump into your bra, center the nipple in the flange tunnel, and start pumping. However, the DiscreetDuo™ does come with 2 bra extenders that can be used with a nursing bra in case you need more room.
How do I clean the Lansinoh® DiscreetDuo™ Wearable Pump?
Follow the cleaning instructions included in the user manual. Do not get the DiscreetDuo™ Wearable Pump hub wet! Only wipe down with a clean damp cloth with 70% ethyl alcohol or isopropyl alcohol as needed. For the flange, silicone diaphragm, valve, flange insert, and milk collector cup clean with a mild dish washing soap and clean water in a separate wash basin dedicated to cleaning baby feeding products. Dry on a clean towel and do not use or store until parts are completely dry. These parts can also be washed in the dishwasher on the top rack, on wash cycle settings less than 100˚C/212˚F, dry cycle settings less than 90 ˚C/194˚F.
What is the warranty? What does it cover?
The warranty for the purchaser is to be free from defects in material and workmanship for the period of one year from the date of purchase on the pump mechanism (pump body/hub and motor) and the period of 90 days from the date of purchase on all other product components. The warranty is provided only to products purchased in the United States and shipped within the United States.
How do I transfer my breastmilk after I am done pumping?
When you are finished pumping, break the seal between the breast and the flange funnel with one finger and then carefully remove the pump from your breast. Separate the milk collector cup from the pump hub and pour the breastmilk into a storage bottle or breastmilk storage bag through the slot on the top of the cup. To minimize leaking, make sure the flange tunnel is facing up.
I don’t feel any suction? What should I do?
First check the DiscreetDuo is assembled correctly following the instructions included in the box. Check if the silicone diaphragm is facing the correct way with flat side facing towards the front and indent towards the back from the flange tunnel ends. Also check the valve is horizontal and not vertical when attaching it to the breastmilk collection cup. Last, check the breast flange is completely sealed around the edges and the battery is fully charged before pumping.
What are the different pumping modes? How do I find the one that is right for me?
There are 4 different pumping modes the DiscreetDuo™ offers: stimulation, expression, massage, and automatic.
The stimulation is to help trigger your let-down. The DiscreetDuo™ will not automatically transfer to expression mode therefore you will need to monitor when you are done with let-down and press the Power button/mode selection button to move to expression or the other modes. Every mom is different, so take your time to learn what feels best for you and which mode is the most comfortable. You can also adjust your suction level with each mode.
